A polymerase chain reaction laboratory has been opened in Artsakh


On June 15, commandant, State Minister of Artsakh Republic Grigory Martirosyan , accompanied by the acting minister of Healthcare Arayik Baghryan and minister of Urban Planning Aram Sargsyan participated in the opening of the polymerase chain reaction laboratory. In the newly opened laboratory, it is possible to perform a number of tests for the detection of various bacteria and viruses, including COVID-19 infection, in a short period of time. The laboratory is unique in Artsakh, equipped with appropriate and modern equipment. Ofelya Harutyunyan, head of the State Hygienic and Anti-Epidemic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Healthcare, presented to the State Minister the results of the first research on the detection of COVID-19 infection. The first 16 samples were sent to a similar laboratory in the Republic of Armenia, where they received the same result. Today, without additional testing, 23 test samples were tested on the spot. Highly appreciating the work done, Grigory Martirosyan thanked the specialists in the field of healthcare and urban planning, emphasizing the urgent need for construction and furnishing work in a short period of time.
