On March 16, Artsakh Republic State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan introduced the newly appointed minister Norayr Mkrtchyan to the staff of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
The State Minister expressed his gratitude to acting Minister Hasmik Minasyan and all the officials of the education sector for their devoted work during the most difficult period of Artsakh siege, and wished Norayr Mkrtchyan fruitful work.
"We need a more disciplined, more organized, innovative education system, which, apart from classical school education, is capable of producing modern-minded youth, a scientific-minded generation, a defender of the motherland, an educated member of society," the State Minister said in his speech.
At the meeting, a number of agenda issues in the fields of education, science, culture and sports were discussed, an importance was attached to the activation of sports and cultural life.
