Gurgen Nersisyan called a meeting on the problems in the cattle-breeding sector

On March 17, Artsakh Republic State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan called a meeting dedicated to the problems in the cattle-breeding sector as a result of Azerbaijan's blockade of Artsakh. The State Minister noted that the problems related to replenishment of the fodder base continue to deepen and it is necessary to carry out serious work in that direction.
"The lack of fodder continues to be filled at the expense of reserve stocks, but serious problems may arise if the blockade is extended. Therefore, it is necessary to accurately calculate the available opportunities and to undertake consistent work aimed at mitigating the problem in a short period of time," Gurgen Nersisyan said in his speech.
The State Minister instructed the officials of the sector to present the amount of fodder needed at this stage in a short period of time.
The situation in the meat market was also discussed, which, according to the officials of the sector, can be regulated after the animals’ mature.
The Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Agriculture, Finance and Economy, Director of the Village and Agriculte Support Fund participated in the consultation.
